Frank Previte
Frank Previte grew up in an Italian immigrant family in Arlington, Massachusetts. Inspired by his mother’s emphasis on education, he attended Boston College High School and later Boston College, where he studied Biology and Chemistry. He then pursued advanced studies in Biological Chemistry at Boston University and went on to earn an MBA.
From an early age, Previte worked alongside his father, Nunzio, learning the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, business development, and management. His first professional role was teaching Chemistry and Biology at a Jesuit high school, where he also served as Business Manager. He later joined a Fortune 50 company as a Financial Analyst, eventually advancing to Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer.
In 1989, Previte founded EnviroBusiness, Inc. (EBI Consulting) with the goal of leveraging his extensive business and environmental expertise to help companies enhance their environmental, social, governance, and financial outcomes. His sons, Nolan and Jeff—both graduates of Boston College with science degrees and MBAs—later joined him at EBI. Together, they grew the firm into a leading provider of environmental health and safety services for prominent Wall Street institutions, banks, telecommunications providers, biotech companies, and major retailers.
Over the course of his career, Previte has served as a Trustee, Director, or Officer on the boards of Winchester Hospital, Atlantic Tracy, Inc., Kaye Instruments, Inc., the University of Massachusetts College of Business Administration, Rockport Music, Boston College High School, and Boston College. He and his wife of 56 years, Ellen Nolan, have funded more than 200 student scholarships at Boston College High School, Boston College, the Cambridge Matignon School, the North End Music and Performing Arts Center, Rockport Music, the Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute, Artis Naples, and many other charitable organizations.
